Photography Safari
A specialized 10-day safari designed for photographers of all levels, with optimal lighting schedules, vehicle positioning for the best shots, a photographer guide companion, and visits to Tanzania's most photogenic locations.
Overview
The Photography Safari is crafted specifically for travelers who want to capture Tanzania's wildlife and landscapes at their absolute best. Led by a guide who is also an accomplished wildlife photographer, this tour prioritizes golden hour positioning, patience for the perfect shot, and vehicle setups that accommodate serious camera equipment.
Unlike standard safaris where the schedule is driven by wildlife movement alone, this tour balances wildlife behavior with photographic conditions. We position for sunrise and sunset light, use bean bags and window mounts for stable shooting, and allow extended time at compelling scenes — whether that's a cheetah on a termite mound or the Great Migration crossing a river.
The itinerary covers the Serengeti (four days for different regions and lighting conditions), Ngorongoro Crater (one full day for the dramatic caldera landscape), Tarangire (two days for elephant portraits among baobabs), and Selous (two days for river and walking safari photography).
Whether you're shooting with a smartphone or a professional DSLR setup, this safari will elevate your photography and give you images you'll treasure forever.

"As a wildlife photographer, this was the best safari I've ever been on. The guide understood light, composition, and animal behavior — we got shots I never thought possible."
"I'm an amateur photographer and this trip transformed my skills. The post-processing workshops at camp were incredibly valuable. Came home with portfolio-worthy images."
